Explore near the hotel

 Today should be an easy day and it really was.  We are located in the Parliament district and decided to learn about the EU.  The complex is amazing and the tour well organized only thing that had Dan grumbling was the strip search and security we had to endure. He doesn’t complain about the airlines but museums set him on edge.  Probably because he keeps so much stuff in his pockets then before he was totally together the change fell out of his pocket onto the floor.  In Europe you have to have lots of coins if you have any chance of using a bathroom. Although we did go to one restroom that accepted credit cards. Can’t wait to see how that turns out on the statement. 

Okay back to the Parliament. It was a 1 hour tour on audio but explained what the parliament did and how it was set up etc. good history lesson but more importantly we found out that May 9 is Europe day. So another day with no museums. Seems at least in Netherlands people get 5 weeks vacation a year and that doesn’t count all these holidays 

We spent the rest of the day in the natural history museum and got to see their new Dinosaur exhibit   That took until almost 5 and stopping at a local cafe for dinner. We had finished all the food we bought at breakfast that morning. We have been trying to eat just 2 meals a day and it seems to be working since we are so busy during the day

It was an early night since we had to pack, tomorrow we take the long distance ICE train to Cologne and then to Hamburg then 2 local trains.   So on and odd the train with bag we have 4 changes on this leg. They are amazingly heavy and we haven’t bought anything.  It is hard to believe that we have been gone 2weeks already
