So on the train to go to Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber. We have to make 2 connections and the second one there is only 5 minutes. Remember the overpacked Petersen’s. No way we can make it off the train down 2 flights of stairs and up another 2 flights. The train is already there with the conductor hanging out the window. We tell her go on we will take the next train. Which is why we decided to lighten the back packs by having a picnic of red wine and pringles. Too bad we didn’t have a cup. Mr I was a Boy Scout and pack everything with a back up will probably have a collapsible cup the next time we travel “just in case”.
Our time in Rothenburg was limited on our day trip which is why we opted to return. It was a little short but we were able to explore the castle garden and do the night watchman tour which was great fun. Clearly and American audience since people laughed at his sarcasm which most Europeans don’t understand. This is what I am constantly reminding Dan of that they “don’t understand”.
We revisited some of the gift shops since Rothenburg is known for its Christmas shops. I need to mention where we stayed had the cutest room but the town is way uphill from the train station so much fun dragging our under packed bags. A very short overnight stay but fun with a great breakfast
