Well, in our last day in Berlin Dan wanted to go to the Futorium. The plan, get an early start go to the main train station since we need to catch the train to Prague from there and walk to the museum. If we get there by 10 am we should be done by 1230 and able to walk back to the train station in time for the 1:15 train. Going according to plan except for the baggage lockers. In Cologne when we checked the bag it was an automated system that used credit cards. No so with Berlin. We needed $6 euros for each bag and the change machine wasn’t working. We scraped up the first $6.00 euros and Dan went off to find change, returning 20 minutes later with complaints about the store personnel.
Well the Futoriumis like a playground for someone who reads popular science. Lots of high tech interactive displays ranging from controlling your environment and global warming, population control to talking and demonstrating what the world can be like with robots etc
A fun morning and we started back to the train station at 2pm. We were now aiming for the 3:15 train. A little bit on our radar when we got to the correct platform there is a message in German regarding our train and there was one word that looked like reservations that came across. So off I go to talk to the train come and see if we need a reservation which we don’t have. All is good apparently what it said was if you have a bike you need a reservation.
We get to Prague and have no money because they use the Czech Korona. No plan to stop at any WC until we get to the bank.
